The Central Election Commission announced the end of election day

A total of 6,575,151 people were eligible to vote, and 24 political formations - 14 parties and 10 coalitions, as well as one independent candidate, were registered for the elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the end of election day for the early parliamentary elections, in which Bulgarian citizens voted for the composition of the 52nd National Assembly, at its meeting broadcast online, BTA reports.

Election day in the country began normally, CEC Chairwoman Kamelia Neykova announced at a briefing this morning.

As of 4:00 p.m., voter turnout in the country was 34.63%, CEC Deputy Chairwoman and Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva announced at a briefing. In the previous early parliamentary elections on October 27, 2024, the voter turnout as of 4:00 p.m. was 26.25%. So the voter turnout is now 9% higher, she added.

A total of 6,575,151 people were eligible to vote, and 24 political formations - 14 parties and 10 coalitions, as well as one independent candidate, were registered for the elections, 113,224 people have applied to vote at their current address, and voters between the ages of 18 and 35 are 1,445,978.
