President Iliana Yotova is convening the National Assembly on Thursday at 10:00. This was announced by the head of state.
"The 52nd National Assembly will be convened on Thursday at 10:00 this week", said President Iliana Yotova.
She commented that she will first tell them her expectations of the new members of parliament. Immediately after that, the procedure for forming a regular government will begin.
"Before that, consultations with the parliamentary parties must be held. We are, as always, following the constitutional texts," she explained.
The head of state commented that he expects a different parliament than the previous one.
"I am convinced that we will see a new parliament, completely different. For me, the most important thing is to change the style and manner of working in this parliament, to use a language that is respectful not only among themselves, but also towards all Bulgarian citizens. We expect new, bold, quick decisions."
From her words, it became clear that among the first tasks of the parliamentarians should be the adoption of the budget for this year.
"Extremely important, because the state is really facing a blockage," she also commented.
