The foolish changes in the Constitution humiliated the head of state. This was stated in the program "Offensive with Ljubo Ognyanov" BSP MP Prof. Rumen Gechev. We do not participate in pseudo-meetings on which nothing depends. This is how the People's Representative explained the socialists' boycott of the consultations with the President.
„The main responsibility of the official cabinet is to organize fair elections, which we doubt,” Gechev pointed out, clarifying that it was not by chance that the battle was for the interior minister. He commented on the subject of the resignation of the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as follows: “There was pressure on the Chief Secretary. Some circuses are playing – he first tenders his resignation, then withdraws it after consultation. What is this chief secretary who is bowing to pressure? What should the heads of regional offices and ordinary employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs think?”.
Prof. Gechev commented on the Easter supplements that the deputies plan to give to the poorest pensioners. “We supported the idea, but we added that the problems with pensions should be solved in the long term, not pre-election, as is the case at the moment,” said the People's Representative from the BSP.
