The District Prosecutor's Office in Yambol has filed charges of Dinko Valev from Yambol, better known as a refugee hunter, reported the Appellate Prosecutor's Office - Burgas.
Valev is accused of being the leader of the group and is expected, after being discharged from a hospital in Burgas, where he is currently, to be detained and charged.
Two others investigated for participation in the organized crime group have already been charged and remanded in custody. According to the prosecutor's office, the criminal group led by Valev operated from October 2021 until this April.
There are reports that the owners of tow trucks, who suffered accidents or other accidents, were extorted, as Valev's truck repatriation company initially asked for one sum, but later extorted them for a larger one.
