Light and light-duty vehicles traveling to the Tower will be diverted from the "Struma" highway. on a detour route from road junction “Blagoevgrad – south“ on road I-1 Sofia – The tower, Simitli municipal road – Railway and will rejoin the I-1 road at the Simitli interchange.
With the change in the organization of traffic, two traffic lanes will be provided for those traveling to Sofia in the section of the I-1 road from the "Simitli" road junction. to AM “Struma“. Heavy goods vehicles over 12 t traveling to Sofia will pass only on the right lane of the I-1 road. The temporary organization of traffic will ensure faster and more comfortable travel in the Simitli region at the end of the three weekends, the API states, adding that traffic will be regulated by teams of the “Traffic Police” and road signs.
In order to ensure normal traffic, to limit the prerequisites for travel difficulties and traffic jams during peak hours, when many people go on the road, the movement of motor vehicles over 12 tons will be stopped on the section of AM “Hemus“ in the direction of Varna on the territory of the Sofia region.
For heavy goods vehicles traveling to Varna today, the restriction is in effect from 16:00 to 21:00. The heavy-duty traffic from AM “Hemus“ will be diverted along road I-1 Sofia - Botevgrad near the store “Jumbo“ to p. in. “Yana“ and will wait in place.
