There is no public information about what happened in the investigation of the group around Martin Bojanov-Notarius and Pepi Euroto. Nothing is shared in the city prosecutor's office and what happened with the investigations of the two groups.
This was stated by Andrey Yankulov from the Anti-Corruption Fund during the meeting of the temporary parliamentary commission to establish all the facts and circumstances surrounding the group of Martin Bojanov-Notarius and Pepi Euroto. We remind you that in the previous, 49th National Assembly there was such a commission led by PP-DB.
According to him, the normal future of the prosecutor's office is hostage to clarifying the case with the Notary, recalling the published testimony of Iliana Kirilova, news.bg specified. It is clear from them that for many of the magistrates, who are currently leading the prosecution, there is objective data of connection with Petyo Petrov - Pepi Evroto. This raises the question to what extent the prosecutor's office is currently conducting a quality self-investigation - is it actually happening and is it possible for it to happen.
Nikolai Staykov from ACF advised the people's representatives to determine according to their powers whether the hearing of Kalin Stoyanov in the case with Martin Bojanov is institutionally allowed.
Nikolai Staykov also announced that Martin Bojanov was a witness in the case of the blackmailed boss of "Bulgartabak" Hristo Lachev, having information about a conversation with the then young investigator Delyan Peevski. The least known fact is that their colleague Petyo Petrov was also present at the conversation. There is also a publication on the subject, and the investigative journalist also stated that he spoke to witnesses on the subject. "I stand by my words that in their extracurricular activity already 16 years ago, Petyo Petrov - Euroto, the former head of the investigation, together with investigator Delyan Peevski, worked extracurricularly and went to talk about six-figure sums with the executive director of Bulgartabac Hristo Lachev" , Staikov also pointed out.
Yankulov explained that publicly known information is that the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office was monitoring a criminal proceeding that has a subject for investigation of the Notary's group, and the leadership of the City Prosecutor's Office, after his murder, stated that the involvement of Bojanov in his capacity of the accused was a matter of days, but with his murder, the procedural action was thwarted.
He referred that according to information from the Main Directorate "Combating Organized Crime" there is information that numerous persons from the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and magistrates have been identified in alleged connection with Bojanov's group, and there are specific data for this. However, what happens to the collected information is not clear - is it checked, is it upgraded, is it verified as true or not?
Andrei Yankulov also noted that the institutional response of the involved state bodies regarding the Notary's group is unsatisfactory.
Back in May 2007, the then head of "Bulgartabac" Hristo Lachev told journalists that the attacks against him and "Bulgartabak" are from the head of the investigation Angel Aleksandrov and the people around him, indicating the name of the former deputy minister Delyan Peevski. Days before that, but after Lachev's statement about the pressure exerted by Angel Alexandrov, on 16.05., police broke into the building of "Bulgartabac" and seized documents in the investigation of financial machinations. Lachev himself was charged and a case was opened for financial crimes, but he was fully acquitted, even years later in 2010.
