A helicopter is diverted to extinguish the fire near Harmanli. It is very smoky in the area, the General Directorate of "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" informed BTA. (GDPBZN).
The flames flared up at the entrance to the city in the late afternoon and are already dangerously close to a villa area, a parking lot and a gas station, reported the District Administration in Haskovo. Because of the outbreak, the area is heavily smoky.
From the Agency “Road Infrastructure“ (API) announced two bypass routes - from Harmanli to Lyubimets, via the “Maritsa“ highway. and from Lyubimets in the direction of Ivaylovgrad, the fork for the village of Malki Voden, and from there to Madzharovo. The second detour is from Madjarovo to the villages of Silen, Dolno Botevo, Stambolovo, Haskovo and to Harmanli.
According to Mitko Petrov from the Regional Road Administration in Haskovo, the road section to Madjarovo is temporarily closed.
