„We will appeal. We have a seven-day deadline, but it is not clear from when. A two-sentence announcement was posted on the court's website on Friday, but the decision itself has not yet been uploaded. So - we don't know what the grounds are for the court to ignore the numerous examinations that were carried out.“
This is what the municipal councilor from “BSP for Bulgaria” told bTV. Vanya Grigorova in connection with the decision of the Sofia City Administrative Court, which confirmed the election of Vasil Terziev as mayor of the capital after the runoff of the local vote from the autumn of last year.
„If these expertises do not matter, why then does the court delay the decision in the case for months to wait for the expertises and to pay some considerable fees to the experts? And then to make a decision that categorically does not take into account the conclusions of the expertises”, asked Vanya Grigorova.
„Lawyers should familiarize themselves with the reasons in order to know why the court decided that Terziev's election was indisputable given that over 300 flash cards were manipulated. And this was recorded in the conclusions of the examinations”, she added.
In her words, the results were manipulated.
„The flash drives containing the results have been tampered with. In what direction they are manipulated, we have no way of ascertaining. This is what the experts wrote. The other party requested a triple examination. She pointed out the exact same thing. Why did we skip the statutory deadline for such a decision to be made? Because the deadline for a decision on these cases is two months at first and second instance. "We already have eight months in the first instance only, because we were waiting for the expertise, which costs a lot of money, in addition to time," Vanya Grigorova said.
She added that she cannot expect to become mayor of Sofia, because if it is proven that there was manipulation of the results – there will be new elections as well as new candidates.
„If the Supreme Administrative Court rejects the request, then we will not act like PP-DB-SS. They threatened that if the decision was not in their interest, they would bring thousands of people to the yellow pavements. This is called a coup“, said Grigorova.
