As a result of the incident that occurred in warehouse for pyrotechnics in the municipality of Elin Pelin, which exploded last week, it is possible that on the roadway and around it there are remnants of pyrotechnics and debris that could be life-threatening. This is indicated by the Municipality of Elin Pelin.
People should not touch or move them. If such are found, citizens are urged by the Municipality to call 112. There are military personnel on the ground, making rounds and collecting the remains of pyrotechnics, there are also signs posted.
The police intend to close the road Elin Pelin - the village of Elin Pelin Station until Friday, the Municipality says, and they call for driving through the detour route through the village of Lesnovo.
Earlier, the regional governor of Sofia region, Silvia Arnautska, informed that at the moment the competent persons cannot enter the warehouses to carry out an investigation, as there are still hot spots that would endanger their lives.
"As long as there is a danger to people's health and life, we will not be allowed to enter the warehouses," she said. To date, only one eighth of the territory of the warehouses has been inspected.
Camera recordings have not yet been examined and it is not possible to say whether they contain information or have been completely destroyed, the investigator from the National Investigation Service (NSI) Ivan Delchev said at a press briefing.
