Assoc. Shishkov and his daughter were in an inaccessible place, there was a wall of smoke and a rain of fiery pieces of boxes and plaster. The firemen were afraid to pass the smoke curtain, and beyond it the docent was standing straight and pointed to the body of his child, so that they would help her first. This is what the spokesperson of the National Investigation, Marian Marinov, said in the "Interview in NOVA News".
In his words, the docent was a very experienced expert, but even the most experienced swimmers drown. "Deliberate arson could be one of the versions for the explosion in a warehouse near Elin Pelin, but it will become clear if it is justified when it is understood where the main participants in the event - associate professor Shishkov and his daughter - were located,' he added.
"With the presence of so many persons in the perimeter of the warehouse, it is assumed that someone may have made a mistake. During the inspection, all traces must be investigated and the mechanism of the event must be reconstructed. The significant facts have not yet been established, a basic inspection of the accident site - in the focus of the fire - must be done. The area must first be secured in order to begin the actual investigation - to ensure that there are no incendiary devices left that would endanger the lives of law enforcement agencies,", he said.
According to him, the experts will be able to establish the cause of the explosion. "In such activities with pyrotechnics, accidents happen, investigators have many times established the cause when there was an accident. It relies on interviews of persons who were not injured in the explosion. When sifting through the remains of the accident, it will be established whether there was ammunition in the warehouse," commented Marinov.
