It's now official: Kiril Petkov has waived his parliamentary immunity

Kiril Petkov is submitted to the registry of the 51st National Assembly a waiver of his immunity as a representative of the people. This was confirmed for BTA by the press center of the parliament. The application was received in the parliament's office at 15:05 and was addressed to the speaker of the parliament Natalia Kiselova. In his application, Kiril Petkov states that he expressly waives his immunity in connection with pre-trial proceedings against him.
A day earlier i.f. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov requested the immunity of the co-chairman of "We continue the change". The occasion - an investigation against Petkov, that in violation of his authority he ordered the arrest of Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdelina Arnaudova, Dariknews.bg recalls.
