Today we said goodbye to journalist Asen Grigorov, who passed away at the age of 59 on Friday. In the capital's church "St. Sophia", relatives, friends and colleagues said their final goodbye to him. We will remember him with his incredible energy, collegiality and dedication to the profession, BNT reported.
A large part of his long career in television journalism was spent at BNT. Together with his wife Sibina Grigorova, they hosted the show "Life and Other Things" on BNT. He was the host of "Plus-Minus" in the national media, he is the creator of "Business Breakfast" and the first morning block in its modern form in Bulgaria.
Evgeniya Atanasova, host of "The World and Us": We worked with Asen from the very beginning of his career on the show "Plus-Minus" and even then he was impressive in how he spoke easily and at the same time in depth about very complex topics. He had a cheerful character, but managed to grasp the important things in life.
Solomon Passy, former Minister of Foreign Affairs: In 2001, Asen was assigned to organize a pre-election debate and then I became a victim of his principledness. But then I saw how extremely right he was and from then on I tried to be a little more like him.
Konstantin Kamenarov, journalist: Clever, a very special person, unforgettable. A very good boy, very, in his place, always with a position and consistent.
Georgi Lozanov, media expert: Assen was a bearer of these values of the democratic Western world, to which we in one way or another strive, and now, when he went to heaven, we felt that he was one of the leaders of civil society in this sense.
Georgi Angelov, host of " History.BG": A person with whom we read together, listened to music, went to parties. A wonderful friend who left before time.
Iva Doychinova: Brave, free, generous, precise and different. We will miss him very much.
