A man has died in a serious accident that occurred at noon on the Ruse-Byala road. The incident occurred near the first junction for Dve Mogili, bTV reported.
A passenger car with a Veliko Tarnovo registration and a heavy truck with a Burgas registration collided head-on.
There are police, fire and ambulance teams at the scene. The firefighters tried to pull out the 70-year-old driver of the passenger car, who died at the scene. The driver of the truck is a 48-year-old man, he was tested for alcohol and drugs, both tests came back negative.
A scene inspection is underway to clarify the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The trucks are waiting at the scene, for cars there is a detour route through Ivanovo and Dve Mogili.
