The Mayor of "Lyulin": Kiril Petkov asked to appoint Lena Borislavova's husband as deputy mayor

This happened at the end of May

New details have emerged from the testimony of the mayor of the capital's district “Lyulin“ Georgi Todorov on the corruption scandal in the municipality.

Todorov confirmed to BTV that he was pressured to hire. According to him, after he dismissed his former deputy Rositsa Pandova, the former co-chairman of “We Continue the Change” Kiril Petkov asked him to appoint Lena Borislavova's husband - Miroslav Ivanov - as his deputy.

"I think it was towards the end of May. Mr. Petkov called me on the phone and insisted that Miro had enormous expertise, but he also had high self-esteem, as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, and told me to contact him and invite him as deputy mayor,“ said Todorov.

According to him, he shared all the facts he knows on the subject with the investigating inspectors at the Anti-Corruption Commission.
