We PP-DB are the real opposition, the government serves only as a screen so that those behind it can do whatever they want. And this is already visible to everyone, said former prime minister Nikolay Denkov, co-chairman of the PP-DB PG in an interview for the program "Nedelya 150" on BNR.
He is categorical that the PP's position is, "we will not support the closure of the CPC, we are ready to discuss whether something needs to be changed, obviously the initial idea will not be implemented":
"Because 160 deputies were set in the law to avoid political influence in the commission. But the CPC does not solve a single problem. The negatives of this step today are much more – I do not see any positives. We want a CPC that fights corruption, not for political repression. Now a procedure has been launched to change the composition, which has been in place for 6 years. We want the composition to be selected according to clear rules so that it has political independence."
Nikolay Denkov is categorical that by "closing the CPC we will not solve any problem, the prosecution remains, and the outrages in Varna were committed by the prosecution and the Court of Appeal in Sofia".
The former prime minister says that when an institution is taken over by Peevski and Borisov and is dismantled, "then the easiest solution is, "let's close the institution".
"According to this logic, we should close the prosecution, part of the court and the CPC", Denkov recommended and added that the way to build a state is for every institution to be filled with competent people.
He admitted:
"We want to overthrow the government because serves as a screen for those who do whatever they want behind the scenes. We will submit a vote of no confidence, because we have already been accepted into the eurozone and we still have to walk the path. We already have an agreement with the DB and MECH that in September a general vote of no confidence will be submitted on a topic that we have agreed on - there are several options - 3 topics that are important to the people."
Nikolay Denkov explained that the first topic is healthcare, which includes doctors' salaries, poor treatment of patients and additional payments.
The second topic is related to the impoverishment of the people, because they have not yet felt it.
"We see that from the fall there will be an impoverishment of the population in terms of purchasing power. This fall, this will raise public discontent, not because of the mayor of Varna, but people will understand how someone is tailoring their hat", Denkov argued.
The third topic is the disparities in regional development and demographic deserts - Northwestern Bulgaria and other abandoned regions, in which there is no movement and development.
"What MECH proposed is changes in the security environment, from "Yes, Bulgaria" they added the topic of the conquered institutions. And the people's problems are the consequence of the state being conquered. We will find a way to bring the topics together and prepare a strong vote of no confidence. And to make it clear to people how what was done in the prosecutor's office affects their salaries, health, etc. n.", Nikolay Denkov explained the topics for a vote of no confidence, which they will submit with MECH in September.
He does not recognize the constitutional changes, the house book as a mistake:
"This is another example that when there is a problem with the appointment, loyal people are elected, someone says, "let's remove the corresponding opportunity":
"On the contrary, we saw that the president abused his caretaker governments – the clearest example is "Botas". The president has no merit for the eurozone either, because his ministers twice proposed a budget with a deficit of over 3%. We voted for the "house book" precisely because of the outrages of some caretaker governments and ministers in them."
