Bulgaria is not for sale!

"We Continue the Change" announced a petition against the scandalous sale of over 4,400 state properties by the government

August is a time for rest. This was exactly the idea of the government when it passed the necessary amendments through parliament to untie the hands of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet to launch quick online auctions for the sale of over 4,400 state properties throughout Bulgaria.

If there is one word that describes this process, it is "scandal". This was announced by "We Continue the Change"

A scandalous list of sites, a scandalous session of the National Assembly without a quorum, a scandalous lack of transparency and information. But still, Boyan Yurukov manages to remind the state of its obligations by making a digital map of all properties that are put up for auction.

This month we will publish some of the most scandalous sites, but more importantly - we will try to protect those sites that should not be sold. That is why we are launching a petition under the motto “Bulgaria is not for sale!“. All signatures will be presented to the parliament in the first days after the vacation and we will submit a resolution to the National Assembly prohibiting the sale of any scandalous site.

Scandal 1 – Cape Chervenka

Today we start with the scandal Scandal 1 – Cape Chervenka. It is advertised for sale as site number 102 in the Chervenka area, meaning the entire cape between Chernomorets and the "Gradina" campsite. The Ministry of Defense is selling a land plot of 173,188 square meters - over 170 acres - de facto the northern part of the beach "Gradina".

More about the site can be found on Boyan Yurukov's virtual map.
