The draft Construction Code of Kazakhstan provides for the introduction of an inter-sectoral identifier - a unique project number.
“This is an important innovation - a unique project number is like a personal identification number that every person has“, said the Minister of Industry and Construction Ersain Nagaspayev. The identifier will be automatically entered into the state urban cadastre system at the planning stage and will be stored throughout the project's life cycle. “At the planning stage, during the expert assessment, during the construction itself and even at the stage after commissioning“, specified Nagaspaev.
One of the reasons for introducing such an identifier is that today owners often face a situation in which several years after the commissioning of a building they cannot find the original documents for modernization or repair.
“Now, using a unique property number, people can find their property and see how it was built, where it is located and what data is associated with it“, said Nagaspaev.
