History and time are categories that contain the universe and infinity. Every person and every society lives and develops in the context of memories, experiences and the search for options for sustainability, predictability and a guarantee of a secure future.

Every person has their own history, which over time is transformed into a memory in which they are usually a hero and rarely a victim of circumstances or disadvantageous situations. Everyone is part of a political system that, depending on the circumstances, creates strict rules of control. During the first twenty-five years of the 21st century, this process was transformed (especially in Europe) into the so-called controlled chaos, where belligerent propaganda and the regressive role of national and European institutions strengthened bureaucracy, and corruption schemes destroyed the possibility of statehood based on competence, financial stability and security.

Time is a relative concept, but it is also a kind of reference point for the development of societies and the individual. For each person, time is measured by what has been achieved, experienced and accumulated over the years. This characterizes the stages in the development of society and is a criterion for the average person, who in time and space is the sociological reference point for trends in social development.

Every country and every political system aims for eternity in the form of power and money. History is a basic tool that, for those in power, is a guarantee of long-term power. It has numerous dimensions, being formed both by ancestral memory, national traditions and rituals, and by the implemented state policy based on propaganda and well-filtered education. This complex and dynamic conglomerate of means, policies and consciously suggested confrontation is a sufficiently successful, repeatedly applied model for the transformation of public consciousness. The problem, however, is that the relevant political systems, especially in the last few centuries, are not sustainable. The change of the political instrument of control over the centuries passes through religion, ethnicity and ideology.

The religious wars until the middle of the 17th century, followed by the national conflicts until the 19th century and the two world wars in the 20th century, pass under the sign of confrontation. The victors do not judge them and this is a guarantee for a historical interpretation of events and facts convenient for the ruling elite. The phrase of the Minister of Propaganda and Enlightenment of the Third Reich, Joseph Goebbels, is well known, that “a lie repeated a hundred times becomes the truth“.

The race against time is a kind of competition with historical truth. This is also a relative concept. Everyone has their own version of facts, process and results. In the context of the individual, this is part of their perception of the world. In terms of life, this attitude does not have a significant impact on the political configuration.

Historical and political transformations are part of social development, the time parameters of which are subject to centuries-old scenarios, oriented towards achieving sustainable control over humanity. Over the centuries, the application of the Roman principle of “divide and rule“ has been profitable for imposing political will and increasing dependence on societies in different parts of the world. The process is always difficult, lengthy and with a low degree of guaranteed success. Through conflicts and wars, technological progress is guaranteed through the continuous improvement of military equipment. Wars are won, but also lost. The results are always tied to geopolitical restructuring of borders and a change in the political system of the countries that lost the conflict. After another transformation, historical interpretation enters into an unequal race with time.

History is a memory that is modeled, rewritten by consciously destroying memories and knowledge. In the technological 21st century, the process is simplified. The limitation of social dialogue, the implementation of a policy that destroys family values and traditions, the conscious elimination of the possibility of sustainable spiritual development of the younger generations, support the process of limiting historical memory, ethnic and religious affiliation of different societies. A successful tool in this policy is virtual space, whose infinity is a kind of embodiment of infinite time, which has no moral and spiritual limitations. There, a person is alone, without protection, without the opportunity to develop and build as an independent person. This is a serious challenge for the formation of generations whose identity is based on knowledge of the past, instilling a sense of pride in the worthy deeds and victories of the ancestors of the respective people.

It is a traditional phrase that “history is the teacher of nations“. It is true that it is also a subjective science, based on documents, memories, interpretations and a lot of politics. Reducing its share in building future generations is a serious challenge for societies. Without historical unity and national pride, man remains alone in the face of numerous unknowns in the technological space. The circle closes. The greatest punishment for a caveman is to be expelled from the tribe living in the cave and to be left alone in the harsh and dangerous nature. In the virtual space, man is again alone, but subject to the technological corporations controlling this world, successfully working for control, but also for achieving colossal profits.

Over the millennia, history and time have been in a constant dichotomy, guaranteeing the existence of humanity. Illusions, truth, political balancing acts have accompanied the development of nations throughout the centuries. The balance between history and time is quite stable. In the modern world, this union is being seriously tested by the unprecedented challenges of artificial intelligence. There remains hope that man will retain his leading role on planet Earth.
