Georgi Milanov attended the charity tournament in support of Lyubo Penev. El Goleader suffers from cancer. He is currently in a clinic in Germany, where his treatment is being carried out, for which funds are being raised, Gong.bg reported.

"Lyubo Penev is an exceptional person for me. He is one of the few who have helped me in my football career and to whom I owe everything. I love Lyubo Penev and pray for him. He is an exceptional person with character and I believe he will win this battle. I see many football legends and people from different teams who are here. I am currently injured and the first thing I wanted to do was come here to show my respect for Lyubo Penev. Let's all send him love and great support together," Milanov said.

"We were a pretty young team with great young players. Then Lyubo Penev showed who he is. It doesn't matter to him whether you're 16, 17 or 18 years old. He believed in us and helped many of us reach a high level. In this case, me playing in the Champions League and reaching that level. I speak with trepidation and get emotional, but for me Lyubo Penev is like a father. Whatever I can, I will always help.".

"I hope this reaches him. Many people love him and we support him. I hope this positive energy reaches him. I'm sure he'll make it. He gave me a way into the national team, in Litex. I'll never forget that thing and my goal against Italy. It's like it was yesterday. When I talk about Lyubo Penev, whatever I say will be little", said the midfielder.

"I hope Levski becomes a champion because I love the club and the fans. Whenever I have the chance, I watch Levski's matches. I wish them the best. Everything is in their hands. With this audience, I think they have a great chance to become champions. I have become a champion in Bulgaria twice and in Russia twice. I can say that you become a champion when you have perseverance. You have to play 100% in every match, regardless of the opponent. You have to win some of the derbies,", he commented.

"I got injured in the previous match. I am currently treating an injury. Yesterday we had a chance to go out first and most likely we would have wintered first in Romania. I went two years ago, when they were last. I could have woken up on January 1st as the first. Unfortunately, however, we lost the match yesterday (0:2 against UTA Arad). The competition in Romania is fierce, about 4-5 teams are fighting for the title, not two like in Bulgaria. I hope that we and Levski will become champions and that we will be able to play against each other in Europe in good health," added the midfielder.
