The defending champion England team qualified for the final of the European Women's Football Championship after a dramatic victory over Italy 2-1 after extra time, BTA reported.
Barbara Bonansea put the "Azure" ahead at the Geneva stadium after just over half an hour of play, and the score remained until the sixth minute of added time, when 19-year-old reserve Michelle Agyemang equalized.
In extra time, the islanders had the upper hand and were awarded a penalty a minute before the end after Emma Severini fouled Beth Mead in the penalty area. Chloe Kelly's penalty kick was saved by goalkeeper Laura Giuliani, but Kelly added a second for England to make it 2-1.
So in the final, the British team awaits the winner of the match between Euro 2022 silver medallist Germany and world champion Spain.
