Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has asked the club's management not to sell midfielder Dani Ceballos, reports Cadena Ser, quoted by BTA.
The Spanish specialist does not see a replacement for the 28-year-old midfielder on the transfer market. It is noted that the player will remain at the club for at least one more season.
Ceballos had disagreements with Alonso, and Real Madrid's management was ready to sell the player for 20 million euros. Betis, in whose system Ceballos was from 2011 to 2017, has shown active interest in the player.
In the 2024/25 season, the midfielder played 45 games for Real Madrid and made 2 assists. His current contract with the Madrid club runs until the end of June 2027. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the Spaniard's value at 10 million euros.
