Finland, as a member of NATO, will do whatever it is told, so Moscow is forced to think about strengthening its security in the northwestern region.

This was stated to TASS by the permanent member of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for environmental protection, ecology and transport Sergei Ivanov, Focus writes.

"Finland itself cannot decide anything, it will do whatever it is told," he said, answering the question of whether Finland could attack Russia.

"We, of course, need to think about measures to strengthen our security in the Northwestern region, this is inevitable. And that's not very good for Finland, by the way," he added.

Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev said that Helsinki was "following a course of preparation for war and is probably preparing a springboard for an attack on Russia."
