NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte raised his voice at Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal during a row over the response to air incursions into alliance countries, Fox News reported, citing official sources.
„The latest incursions into NATO airspace have deepened divisions within the alliance over how to respond. Secretary-General Mark Rutte clashed with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal last week after Estonia invoked Article 4 of the NATO Charter. Rutte even raised his voice against Michal,“ the channel's website reported, citing officials familiar with the situation.
NATO's North Atlantic Council earlier held Russia responsible for incidents involving drones and aircraft in Poland and Estonia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the allegations that Russian pilots were violating airspace, stressing that they were completely groundless and unproven.
