Nine people were killed and seven were injured in a series of road accidents in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing local authorities.
According to the agency, the accidents occurred on December 6 at 10:00 p.m. local time on different sections of an expressway in Wusu County, Tacheng County.
The injured have been taken to hospital and are receiving medical treatment.
