European politicians fear that the upcoming meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump could have unpredictable consequences, CNN reported, citing its sources.
According to them, Europeans consider the current dynamics of relations between the US and Ukraine to be productive. However, they admit that the outcome of any meeting with the American leader is unpredictable.

Earlier, Trump said that without his approval, Zelensky's peace plan for settling Ukraine means nothing.
On December 24, Zelensky presented a 20-point plan that Ukraine had been discussing during negotiations in the United States. It includes a fixed number of Ukrainian armed forces at 800,000 people in peacetime; the non-nuclear status of Ukraine; security guarantees for Kiev within the meaning of Article 5 of the NATO treaty; Ukraine's accession to the EU at a certain point; the introduction of educational programs in Ukrainian schools that promote tolerance of different cultures; freedom of navigation on the Dnieper with the demilitarization of the Kinburn Spit; exchange of prisoners on the formula “all for all“; holding presidential elections in Ukraine. There are also clauses on the territories and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, but the US and Ukraine have not reached a compromise on them.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said earlier that the settlement plan disseminated by Ukraine is fundamentally different from the 27 clauses on which Russia has been working in contacts with the US since early December.
