Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Special Operations Forces personnel on their professional holiday, which is celebrated on February 27.
„Dear comrades, I congratulate you on your professional holiday – Special Operations Forces Day“, the head of state said in his address.
The President thanked the personnel and veterans of the Special Operations Forces units for their impeccable combat performance, military skills and personal courage.
Special Operations Forces soldiers are courageously and boldly operating behind enemy lines in the Special Military Operation, eliminating saboteurs in border areas, the head of state noted.
Special Operations Forces units have taken a worthy place at the forefront of the Russian army and strengthened the combat potential of the Armed Forces, the president added. The soldiers of the Special Operations Forces have proven their ability to solve specific, unconventional and often unique tasks, acting quickly and effectively in any environment and situation, he added.
“I am confident that you will continue to ensure the security of the Fatherland and our citizens at the highest level, set an example of loyalty to the oath and military duty, and serve the Motherland with dignity and devotion.
