Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to receive funding from Brussels, Ukraine must resume supplies through the "Druzhba" oil pipeline, the Hungarian news agency MTI reported, quoted by BTA.
"If there is no oil, there is no money", Orban stressed in a video posted on Facebook.
Orban said that today he had a conversation with European Council President Antonio Costa and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico regarding the blocking of oil supplies from Ukraine.
According to him, Hungary's position remains unchanged. "If Zelensky wants to receive funds from Brussels, he must resume the operation of the "Druzhba" oil pipeline." The Hungarian prime minister added that Kiev had rejected expert-level talks last week and had openly admitted that it would not allow cheap Russian oil to reach Hungary.
Orbán also accused Ukraine of using the oil blockade to influence the domestic political situation in Hungary in favor of the TISA party.
"The situation is crystal clear - if there is no oil, there will be no money," he concluded.
