The Israeli army (IDF) announced that it launched strikes early this morning on "regime targets" in Tehran, after earlier reporting that the Islamic Republic had fired two missile salvos at Israel, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

Israeli forces "strike targets in Tehran of the terrorist Iranian regime", the IDF said in a brief statement.

Earlier, Iranian media, quoted by Reuters, reported Israeli strikes on Tehran and the western outskirts of the capital, as well as in Isfahan, Central Iran.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti army reported that it had responded to the attacks with missiles and drones.

"If you hear explosions, this is the result of the work of the air defense to repel an enemy attack," the Arab country's military wrote in Ex.

Israeli ground units, supported by aviation, eliminated several members of the "Hezbollah" group in southern Lebanon, DPA reported, citing a statement by the Israeli army, BTA writes.

During the ground operation, which began a week ago, "Hezbollah" positions were destroyed and the group's weapons were also seized, the text also says.

Representatives of the Lebanese security forces said that fighting is currently taking place between Shiite fighters and Israeli soldiers in the town of Hiam. Lebanese officials said the fierce fighting had shifted to the northern part of the city, with Israeli ground forces now 7km deep into Lebanon.

"Hezbollah", for its part, continues to attack Israel with rockets and drones.

Germany and France have opposed the idea of a large-scale Israeli offensive in southern Lebanon. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot highlighted Paris's opposition during his visit to Israel today. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, for his part, indicated after his meeting with Barrot that the Lebanese government and army were not taking enough action against "Hezbollah".

The Israeli army said on Monday it had launched "limited, targeted ground operations" on Lebanese territory.

"Hezbollah" resumed its airstrikes against Israel, following the start of Israeli-American strikes on Iran. This ended the truce between Israel and Iran, which had been in effect since November 2024. According to the agreement, the Iranian-backed group was supposed to be disarmed, but this never happened.
