A Ukrainian drone that crashed in Finland was carrying an unexploded warhead, Finnish authorities said, quoted by "Reuters".

According to police, the drone was found north of Kouvola, and an initial inspection found that an unexploded warhead was attached to it. The device was later disarmed by a controlled explosion.

The incident occurred on Sunday when two Ukrainian drones crashed in southeastern Finland. This is the first time that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has reached Finnish territory.

According to the authorities, it is a large An-196 drone with a wingspan of about 6.7 meters and a length of 4.4 meters. It is similar to the Iranian "Shahed" drones used by Russia and was developed by the Ukrainian corporation "Antonov" in 2022.

Finnish authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, including the circumstances that led to the drones entering national airspace.
