Julie Davis, the US chargé d'affaires in Ukraine, will resign in a few weeks due to disagreements with the Trump administration, the Financial Times reported, citing its sources.

According to the publication, Davis, who continues to serve simultaneously as the US ambassador to Cyprus, will end her nearly 30-year diplomatic career. The publication notes that the diplomat is frustrated by the Trump administration's waning support for Ukraine.

In addition, Davis was upset when she learned from the press that businessman and Republican Party donor John Breslow would become the new US ambassador to Cyprus. She was not informed in advance about this, the newspaper emphasizes.

Davis took over as US chargé d'affaires in Ukraine in May 2025. Since 2023, she has also been ambassador to Cyprus.

In April 2025, the State Department confirmed the resignation of US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink. Brink's candidacy for this position was nominated by then-Secretary of State Joe Biden in April 2022.

In May of the same year, the nomination was confirmed by the US Senate and Brink arrived in Kiev.
