Six people have already been killed in the Russian attack on Kharkiv with drones this night, the mayor of the second most populous Ukrainian city Igor Terekhov announced, quoted by the national news agency Ukrinform, broadcast by BTA. p>

He also wrote in "Telegram" that the number of injured has risen to 10.

The authorities' previous figures were for two dead and seven injured in the attack on the northeastern Ukrainian city.

The "Shaheed" attack drones sent by the Russian Armed Forces have rammed into at least nine apartment blocks, three dormitories, several administrative buildings, a store, a gas station and a car repair shop. Cars were also damaged.

"This attack on civilians in Kharkiv once again proves that Russia is a terrorist state," Terekhov stressed.

Earlier, the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said the Russian attack was aimed at a residential area.

Russian attacks against Kharkiv have recently become more frequent.
