Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated in a private meeting with ministers from his party "Likud" that the Iranian missile attack should be answered smartly, reported DPA, quoted by BTA, referring to the Israeli radio "Can".

Iran must wait anxiously for the retaliation to come, as it did with Israel before the attack late Saturday night, the prime minister said, according to a radio source.

Referring to another source - a high-ranking official, radio "Can" reported that Israel had promised to inform the US before launching a counterattack to give US troops in the area time to prepare for a possible Iranian retaliatory strike.

Yesterday, the Israeli army vowed to respond to a massive and unprecedented attack by Iran, despite calls from many countries, led by the United States, to avoid an escalation of the confrontation in the Middle East, where war is already raging - between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement " Hamas" in the Gaza Strip, notes France Press.

Benjamin Netanyahu called on the international community to "remain united" to "Iranian aggression that threatens world peace" after the attack was thwarted with the support of several allies, including Washington.

"The international community must remain united to oppose Iranian aggression that threatens world peace," the Prime Minister said in a statement published by his services on the social network "X".

Netanyahu welcomed "the support of the US, Britain, France and other countries to thwart the Iranian attack".
