The body of a man believed to have been captured by Hamas was found in Israel

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that on Friday, Israeli territory, the body of a man previously believed to be among the hostages taken by "Hamas" has been found. on October 7, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

The IDF said the remains were identified through extensive forensic examinations, after which the victim's family was informed of the death.

According to the Forum of Families of Hostages and the Disappeared – organization of relatives and friends of the 250 people taken captive by "Hamas" on October 7, the man was a security guard at the "Nova" music festival, which was among the targets of the terrorist attack in southern Israel. He managed to save many festival guests before he was killed.

In the attack on October 7, about 1,200 people were killed and 250 were taken hostage, DPA recalls.

In response, Israel launched massive airstrikes and a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, with the IDF killing over 34,500 Palestinians so far.

In November "Hamas" and Israel reached an agreement on a temporary ceasefire that included the release of 105 Israeli hostages in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners.

A few weeks ago, Tel Aviv suggested that just under 100 of the 130 Israelis held captive by "Hamas" were probably still alive.
