At least eight people were killed today by Israeli struck villages in southern Lebanon, Reuters reported, citing BTA, citing Lebanese security sources.

According to their data, two of the victims were in Aita al-Shaab, three - in Ullah, two - in Yaroon, and a motorcyclist was killed while riding on a main road in Nakura.

The Lebanese Shiite group "Hezbollah" said today that it had commemorated four of its fighters killed in Israeli strikes and retaliated by firing dozens of rockets at Israeli army reserve units stationed along the border with Lebanon.

The exchange of fire across the Israeli-Lebanese border between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement, which runs parallel to the war between Israeli forces and Palestinian Islamists from Hamas, which began on October 7 last year, is the most intense since 2006, notes Reuters.

From "Hezbollah" have repeatedly announced that they will stop shelling northern Israel when the Israeli army ends its advance south into the Gaza Strip.
