Yemen's Houthis said they attacked three vessels, including an oil tanker, in the Red and Mediterranean seas with ballistic missiles, drones and boats with explosive devices, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The Houthis attacked the ship "BENTLEY I" and the tanker "CHIOS Lion" in the Red Sea, their military spokesman Yahya Sari said on television.
He added that the group, together with the Iraqi "Islamic Resistance", attacked the ship "Olvia" in the Mediterranean Sea.
The spokesman said the Houthis' latest military operations came in response to an Israeli airstrike on Khan Younis on Saturday, which killed at least 90 Palestinians and wounded 300 others, Gaza's health ministry said at the time.
Earlier on Monday, the UK Maritime Trade Office (UKMTO) said two ships were attacked in the Red Sea off the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, with one of the vessels sustaining some damage. The vessel, which was 97 nautical miles northwest of Hodeidah, was attacked by an unmanned surface vessel, which struck its port side and caused some damage and light smoke.
The vessel and its crew are reported to be safe and are proceeding to their next port of call, the UKMTO added.
Another merchant ship, 70 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, reported that three missiles had exploded nearby after the ship had earlier been attacked by three small vessels, UKMTO and security firm Ambri said.
