Biden's COVID-19 symptoms almost gone

Biden's pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature are "absolutely normal"

US President Joe Biden is on the way to recovery from the coronavirus infection, his doctor said, DPA reported.

"His symptoms have almost completely subsided,” wrote the personal physician of the 81-year-old president, Kevin O'Connor, in a letter published by the White House, quoted by BTA.

Biden's pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature are "absolutely normal". “His lungs remain clean,” said the doctor.

The president has received his tenth dose of the antiviral drug "Paxlovid" this morning and continues to perform all presidential duties, O'Connor said.

Since last Wednesday, Biden has isolated himself in Rehoboth Beach in the state of Delaware. It is also unclear when he will return to the White House in Washington and whether he will be able to maintain his schedule.

Biden had said that this week he would explain in more detail the reasons for his withdrawal from the US presidential race. No date has been set for this yet.
