Biden worried: If Trump loses, I'm not sure at all...

The US president expressed his concern that if the former head of state loses, the transition in power will hardly be peaceful

No I am confident that the transition in power will be peaceful if Donald Trump loses the US presidential election in November, US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

"If Trump loses, I am not sure at all,", Biden said in an interview with CBS News, in response to a question about whether the transition in power will be peaceful after the election.

"He really means what he says. We don't take it seriously. He really means it. All this talk of a bloodbath if he loses," Biden also said.

At a campaign event in March in the state of Ohio, Republican presidential candidate and former US president Donald Trump warned that there would be a "bloodbath" if he lost the November election, Reuters recalls. Trump himself said he used the phrase in connection with the need to protect the American auto industry from foreign competition.

After losing the 2020 presidential election, Trump claimed he actually won, but failed to prove his claims. He was indicted on criminal charges in Washington, D.C., and in the state of Georgia for illegally attempting to overturn the 2020 election results.

President Joe Biden announced last month that he was withdrawing from the presidential race after a poor performance in a debate against Trump and questions about his age and health.

After Biden's withdrawal, the US Vice President Kamala Harris became the candidate for the US President from the Democratic Party.
