Biden hosted over 100 influencers at the White House

Kamala Harris's VP candidate Tim Walz agreed to debate Donald Trump's VP candidate JD Vance on TV

The President of USA Joe Biden received in the White House more than 100 influencers appearing in a number of media platforms, the Associated Press reported.

Among them were culinary influencers, makeup artists, fitness gurus and medical students. With them, Biden talked about a variety of topics, including mental health, equal pay, harassment and artificial intelligence.

Biden called influencers “the future“ and “news source“

„You are the new possibilities. You are the new breakthrough in the way we communicate”, the president added.

Then he joked that he invited them to the White House because he was looking for a job.

Some of the influencers invited to the White House have millions of followers. Worldwide, the income associated with the activity of influencers is estimated at about 250 billion dollars.

The White House also recognizes that the youth vote is key to Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump.

The White House event comes as the Biden administration is embroiled in a legal battle with TikTok over a law that will determine the future of the social media platform in the US. According to him, TikTok's parent company “Byte Dance” must sell the popular platform to a Washington-approved US buyer or be banned from US territory.

The Democratic Party's candidate for vice president of Kamala Harris - Tim Walz, said that he accepts the offer of the TV "CBS News" to debate Donald Trump's GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance. The proposal was up for debate on October 1, Reuters reported.

So far, Vance has not said whether he is also accepting the TV offer.

"See you Oct. 1, JD," Walz wrote in "X". From his post, it is clear that CBS has proposed several dates for the debate - September 17 or 24, or October 1 or 8. The debate will be in New York.
