Police have a suspect in custody

At least six people were injured in a random shooting on a US highway. The police detained a suspect, the Associated Press reported, citing BTA, referring to representatives of the authorities.

At least seven cars were hit in the shooting on Interstate 5 south of the northwestern US city of Seattle. Two of the injured are in critical condition.

The suspect was traveling by car.

Authorities did not provide further details, not commenting on the shooter's possible motives.

Since the beginning of the year, King County, which includes Seattle, has recorded at least 37 road shootings, a number similar to the previous two years. For the entire state of Washington, incidents of this kind are 57.
