Nearly 100,000 people fled to Syria after Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced. According to France Press, the number of refugees has doubled in two days, quoted by BTA.
"The number of people who crossed into Syria from Lebanon fleeing Israeli airstrikes – Lebanese and Syrian citizens – reached 100,000 people. The wave of refugees continues", wrote the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, on the social network "X".
