Five teenagers killed in massacre in Russian city of Baikalsk, four others injured

One of them stabbed four people to death and set fire to the crime scene

Five teenagers have died in the city of Baikalsk in Russia's Irkutsk region.

It is believed that one of the teenagers attacked the others with a knife and then set fire to the house, which led to his death, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Irkutsk region reported.

"A private house caught fire last night in the city of Baikalsk in the Irkutsk region. The bodies of five deceased minors were found at the scene. According to the investigation, a group of young people were in a private house in the "Gorny Baikal" horticultural society. One of them attacked those present with a knife. As a result, four teenagers died on the spot, and four more were taken to a medical facility with various injuries. "After the attack, the alleged suspect set the house on fire and died as a result of the fire," the Investigative Committee said.

A criminal case has been opened for the murder of four teenagers and the wounding of four others.
