The leader of the Yemeni branch of "Al-Qaeda" has directed his criticism at US President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk for US support for Israel's ongoing war against Gaza and the besieged Palestinian population, Al Jazeera reports, quoted by FOCUS.
"There are no red lines after what happened and is happening to our people in Gaza", says Saad bin Atef al-Awlaki in a half-hour video message distributed on the Internet on Saturday by supporters of "Al-Qaeda" in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the Yemeni branch of the armed group.
"Reciprocity is legitimate", he said.
Al-Awlaki's video message also included calls for so-called "lone wolves" to kill the leaders of Egypt, Jordan and the Gulf Arab states over the war that has devastated Gaza and claimed the lives of at least 54,772 Palestinians over the past 20 months.
The message featured images of Trump and Musk, US Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegsett, as well as the logos of Musk's businesses – including electric car manufacturer Tesla.
Created in 2009 A merger of the Yemeni and Saudi factions of "al-Qaeda", AQAP is completely different from the Yemeni Houthi rebel group, which controls most of the country and agreed to a ceasefire with the United States earlier this month.
