Former US President Donald Trump practically admitted that Iran has a secret nuclear facility, Focus reports.
In an interview with Fox News, he said:
„We knew that Iran had multiple nuclear facilities - probably three large ones, plus one more.“
According to Trump, it is unlikely that Tehran was able to remove enriched uranium from nuclear facilities before the American strikes.
„It is not. First of all, it is extremely difficult and dangerous. In addition, no one believed that we would hit the Fordow facility because it was considered impenetrable. I heard that there were people inside, even cars. These people were trying to concrete the entrance - most likely where a bomb was expected to land,“ he added.
Earlier, media outlets such as CNN and The New York Times cited anonymous sources from the US intelligence community and Israeli officials who said that the US strikes had not destroyed the main components of Tehran's nuclear program. They believe that Iran may still have small, hidden uranium enrichment facilities.
In response to these allegations, the White House said that such assessments were not true.
