Orban to Zelensky: War is not a TV series, the people of Ukraine are in daily horror

Hungarian Prime Minister calls on Ukrainian President to change his policy towards peace in the country

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that it is not too late for Volodymyr Zelensky to change his policy towards peace in Ukraine.

“Exactly a year ago I visited Kiev“, the head of government wrote in X. “After a 14-hour journey, we had long talks with President Zelensky about the possibility of a ceasefire and peace. Even then, I warned him that time was not on his side. Even then, I warned him that the Russians were preparing for a long war, that serious changes were coming in America and that Europe was running out of steam. Then President Zelensky did not listen to me.“

“With the confidence of an actor on stage, he insisted on continuing the war. The war is still going on, Europe is exhausted, and American arms supplies are dwindling. The Ukrainian people continue to experience the horrors of war every day. This is not theater or a TV series, but a harsh reality. Hungary remains on the side of peace. It is not too late for President Zelensky to join us,“ said Orbán.
