A 16-year-old boy was stabbed with a knife during a house party in Sydney's eastern suburbs in a machete attack, Australian police said, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
New South Wales Police said they received a report yesterday evening that the 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were outside a house in a suburb near Malabar Beach, "when they were approached by about 10 people", including two people carrying machetes.
The 16-year-old was "attacked and stabbed with a knife", suffering lacerations to his back and legs. He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.
The 18-year-old was not injured.
"Initial investigations have led police to believe the incident was deliberate", New South Wales Police said in a statement.
