Russia is preparing for further war and plans to spend about $1.1 trillion on rearmament by 2036. Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, commented on this during the meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors, saying that this will be the most ambitious armament program for Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union, UNIAN reports, quoted by Focus.

"There is a full mobilization of the politics, economy and society of the Russian Federation in readiness for a future large-scale war", Budanov stated.

He recalled that within the framework of the military reform in Russia, two new military districts have already been created - the Moscow and Leningrad, and the formation of new divisions, formations and military units is planned.

The head of the Ukrainian intelligence service emphasizes that Russia seeks to destroy the world order in the field of security and economy. To this end, it is strengthening its presence in Africa, mainly with the help of the Wagner PMC and the Africa Corps, as well as "supporting authoritarian regimes and terrorist organizations around the world."

Also, he says, the Russians are trying to conduct hybrid information and cyber operations on the territory of other countries, involving controlled media and politicians.

"Moscow's goal is to impose on countries its own vision of the future world order, in which the "big" countries, first and foremost the Russian Federation, have complete power, a monopoly on all critical resources and decide the fate of the world in a closed circle," Budanov emphasizes.

Earlier, in an interview with Bloomberg, Budanov said that a ceasefire in Ukraine should be achieved as soon as possible and well before the end of the year. This requires at least three countries - Ukraine, Russia and the United States.

At the same time, Western media claim that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is apparently not bothered by US President Donald Trump's ultimatum and still considers achieving his goals in the war in Ukraine to be his top priority.
