US President Donald Trump claims to have ended seven wars around the world, although he does not know which countries he has reconciled and cannot even pronounce their names.
In an interview with The Mark Levin Show, Trump said he had reconciled Azerbaijan and Albania, probably referring to Armenia. He also got the name of Azerbaijan wrong, calling the country “Aberbaijan“.
“For Azerbaijan – it was a big war that went on for 34, 35 years... think about it, it went on for years. I met with the heads of state and told them I would not do business with them if they kept fighting. After meeting with me in the Oval Office, they were already hugging, which was nice to see," Trump said.
As FAKTI wrote, in the same interview Trump said that Crimea is located "in the middle of the ocean" and is as big as the US state of Texas. This is not so - the state's area is 695,662 km2, while Crimea's is 27,000 km2, or nearly 25 times smaller.
Donald Trump announced earlier this month that he had reconciled Armenia and Azerbaijan forever. In the presence of the American leader, who has an affinity for awards and honors, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize, AFP reported. The two countries have been at war for decades, including in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Trump regularly recalls the wars he claims he has stopped, emphasizing how long the conflicts have lasted. The American president has long made no secret of his desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Trump had also promised to end the war in Ukraine in “24 hours“, but that still seems like a mission impossible.
