This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a speech in Bitlis, where the celebrations for the 954th anniversary of the Manzikert victory are being held.
Expressing his gratitude to all the martyrs and ghazis, from the Manzikert victory to the Battle of Çaldiran and from the War of Independence to the July 15 victory, who sacrificed their lives and blood for their homeland, for the crescent and for the independence and future of the nation, President Erdoğan emphasized that they will continue to defend Turkey, the legacy of the martyrs, the eternal state and the values for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives, until their last breath.
President Erdoğan stated: “The century we are living in will go down in history as the Century of Turkey. We will never be deceived by anyone's games, nor will we fall into traps on the path we have taken for a much more effective, much more respected and much more prosperous Turkey. We will continue to confidently walk towards the goal of a Turkey without terror, which irritates and worries our enemies, with firm steps and knowing what we want“.
