Subaru carried out a restyling of the Crosstrek crossover, and the company improved the equipment of the model and added premium equipment. The Premium package also stands out from the others with a more powerful engine, but unfortunately it will only be available in the US.
Under its hood is not our two-liter four-cylinder engine, but a 2.5-liter opposed unit with a power of 185 hp. and 241 Nm of torque, which works in tandem with a continuously variable transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
The Premium trim also gets a new X-Mode system with different modes and settings for snow/dirt and deep snow/mud for better four-wheel drive in difficult weather conditions.
As for other versions of the Crosstrek, they get an expanded suite of safety and driver assistance systems. Cross traffic warning and blind spot detection are now enabled.
Other options include lane keeping assist and automatic emergency control, bringing the car to a standstill. In addition to the crossover, new materials for interior decoration are offered.
Along with the update, however, the crossover received a higher price. The basic Subaru Crosstrek in the US market will cost at least 25 thousand dollars, and for the Crosstrek Premium version you will have to pay more than 27 thousand.
