Zelensky attacks Biden: Leave us alone against Russia - 1

During the great invasion, Ukrainians were left alone (against Russia), we fought alone. This was stated to Fox News by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, verbally attacking former US President Joe Biden, Focus.de reports.

In three weeks it will be 3 years since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Zelensky explained that before the Russian army invaded in 2022, he asked Biden and his team to take preventive actions such as imposing sanctions. Weeks before the invasion, Russia massed many of its troops and military equipment near the Ukrainian border.

Zelensky also requested weapons, but was told they would only be provided “if” Russia invaded. “At the same time, I asked the European Union countries, and they couldn’t do it without the approval of the United States. So they always look to the United States as a leader. During the big invasion, the Ukrainians were left alone, we fought alone,” Zelensky explained.

In the interview, Zelensky praised new US President Donald Trump for Trump’s tough stance against Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is “exactly what Putin is afraid of,” Zelensky said. Trump recently said on his social media platform Truth Social that Putin must end the war or face heavy sanctions and tariffs.

“If President Trump has the will to force Putin to make peace, he can do it“, Zelensky continued, revealing that he hopes the potential agreement will be more than a piece of paper. “We want him to be on the side of justice, on the side of Ukraine“, Zelensky said.

However, it is still unclear how Trump will end the war. In his election campaign, the Republican promised to do it in “24 hours“, but it quickly became clear that this was just empty talk. The Trump team has already talked about 100 days to achieve a ceasefire, but to date there have been no concrete steps towards such a scenario. The Kremlin also acknowledged that Putin is open to dialogue with Trump, but at the moment there is nothing concrete like a proposal to stop the war and a potential tete-a-tete meeting.
